Newport News is in Virginia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Terrible online service. Products chosen sloppily, especially produce and flowers. Roses died in 3 days, online customer service was so rude, they hung up on me. They said roses should turn black and die in 3-days, too bad, so sad. I will NEVER order online from Whole Foods again. The store on Jefferson is nice. Good customer service. Good parking during the week.

The store itself is clean, well-stocked, and offers a great selection of organic products, which is one of the main reasons I wanted to shop there. Unfortunately, my overall experience was overshadowed by how I felt I was treated. During my first visit, while waiting at the pizza bar, another customer cut in front of me. I chose not to say anything because I wasnβt interested in creating an argument. What was more concerning, however, was my experience at checkout. I was not greeted and instead felt like I was being watched with suspicion. As I scanned my groceries, the employee closely monitored everything I did, seemingly making sure I scanned each item, and even told my husband he couldnβt use his phone. Meanwhile, other customers checking out did not appear to receive the same level of scrutiny. From my perspective, I felt singled out and racially profiled because I am a minority, despite being an American. No customer should leave a store feeling judged or treated differently based on their appearance. I hope management takes concerns like this seriously and provides additional customer service and bias awareness training for staff. Itβs 2026, and everyone deserves to be treat

There was a Panhandling man outside the front door today. I felt very unsafe. I asked the security guard to make him leave, she didn't do anything. I think she was afraid of him too. What's the purpose of paying a security guard who does absolutely nothing to protect the customers? I spend about $1000+ a month in your store and I deserve to feel safe. Do better!

The best place to get high quality and diverse food in Newport News. The store is always so clean, food on the shelf is fresh, the atmosphere feels safe and relaxing. The staff (e.g. Ms. Bolivia, meat, and bakery counter staff) are so helpful and friendly. Worth every penny. Wonβt go anywhere else.

I have enjoyed coming here recently to look for sale items because those are very good deals. The crab cakes are top of the line compared to all other grocery stores in the area because it is pure crab meat no bread or imitation crab. I end up spending more than I would like but I guess that's the point π One thing which I would like to see is a scale by the hot bar, they charge by the pound when you are picking your food choices but you have no way of knowing how much is in your container until you are paying for it unfortunately. The closest scale is on the other side of the store.
